Mandatory Water Conservation
The Pole Road Water Association is obligated to supply water for indoor use as a priority over outdoor water use such as lawn and garden watering. During the past few summers the Association pumped water from its wells at maximum capacity but outdoor water use was so high that the wells could not keep up with demand and the storage tanks dropped dangerously low. Low tank levels can result in lower system pressure and less fire fighting capacity.
The Mandatory Outdoor Watering Schedule is in effect between June 1st and September 30th.
If summer water use is still too high, further conservation measures will be necessary such as mandatory watering restrictions,
no outdoor watering and higher water use rates.
